Who we are

America’s Commerce Corps (“ACC”, “we”, “us”) operates accprogram.com and its associated services: Townica, Data Diamonds and Sprocket. Our address is 42 North Main Street, Bel Air, Maryland 21014. You can reach us at info@accprogram.com.

This statement explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — your name, email address, and a password when you register.
  • Business details — the name, address, category and description of a business you list or manage, along with any images you upload.
  • Order details — what you bought, your billing name and email, and the contents of any request you submit.
  • Report requests — where you request a Data Diamonds report, the information needed to prepare it. For banking customers this includes your institution’s name, your role, and your FDIC certificate number.
  • Correspondence — anything you write to us by email or through a form on the site.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data — your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and server logs.
  • Location data — where you use the Townica directory or map, approximate location derived from a business address or from your browser if you permit it.

Payment information

We do not receive or store your card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe’s systems. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, the last four digits, the card brand, and a transaction reference.

Why we use it

Purpose Information used
Creating and maintaining your account Account details
Taking and fulfilling orders Order details, billing information, report requests
Publishing directory listings you ask us to publish Business details, location data
Sending service messages — confirmations, invoices, renewal notices Account and order details
Providing support Correspondence, account and order details
Keeping the platform secure and working Technical data
Meeting our legal and tax obligations Order and payment records

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

What is published

Information you provide for a directory listing is published deliberately — that is the purpose of the listing. This normally includes the business name, address, contact details, category and description, and any images you upload. Do not put anything in a listing that you would not want publicly visible. You can ask us to unpublish a listing at any time.

Your account details, order history and report requests are not published.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run the platform, and only for that purpose:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing.
  • Our hosting provider — storage and delivery of the site.
  • Our email provider — sending service messages to you.
  • Esri (ArcGIS) — mapping and location services used by the Townica directory.
  • Automattic / WooCommerce.com — the commerce software the platform runs on.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Requests your browser makes to other companies

Separately from the providers above, some pages load resources from other companies. We do not send them your account information, but your browser contacts them directly, so they receive your IP address — and, where noted, what you type.

  • Google Fonts — typefaces, on every page.
  • Esri (ArcGIS) — the Townica directory listing data, on the directory pages.
  • OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — converts a place name or address into map coordinates. The location text you type into the directory search is sent to them.
  • Zippopotam.us — postcode lookup on the directory.
  • unpkg and Cloudflare (cdnjs) — deliver the mapping code the directory pages use.

Our Cookie Preferences page sets out which pages involve which of these.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is open.

When an account is closed, we remove the personal information associated with it within 90 days.

Two exceptions: we retain transaction and tax records for as long as the law requires us to, and we retain anything we are obliged to preserve in connection with a legal claim. Published directory listings are removed when unpublished, though search engines may cache them for a period outside our control.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember the contents of your cart, and understand how the site is used. You can review and change your choices at any time on our Cookie Preferences page.

Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • provide a copy of it;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it, subject to the record-keeping obligations above;
  • stop sending you marketing messages, which you can also do from any such message.

Write to info@accprogram.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed rather than in readable form, and administrative access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a determined attack will never succeed — but we take reasonable measures and we will tell you promptly if we learn that your information has been exposed.

Children

This platform is intended for businesses and for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this statement we will update the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
